SUM IMPACT · GIVING BACK WITH INTENTION

Movement can change more than bodies.

We believe education, movement and community should create opportunity beyond the studio. SUM Impact brings together the initiatives through which we widen access, support people and build a more responsible wellness community.

Explore our commitments

Impact, not optics. We separate what we have done from what we are still building.

OUR BELIEF

Wellness means little if it stops with us.

SUM exists to educate movement professionals. As we grow, we want that growth to create practical opportunities for people beyond our classrooms too — through access, education, community action and transparent support.

THE IMPACT

Four areas where we can make a meaningful difference.

01

Access to Movement

Supported training places, community education and selected free or subsidised learning opportunities for people who may otherwise be priced out.

02

Women & Opportunity

Mentorship, career education and supported pathways that help more women build confidence, skills and sustainable professional independence.

03

Community Wellbeing

Movement, breathwork and everyday wellbeing initiatives designed to bring people together and make practical wellness education easier to access.

04

Planet & Responsibility

Digital-first learning where appropriate, reduced waste, responsible event choices and practical environmental action around the communities we work in.

FLAGSHIP INITIATIVE · SUM ONE SEAT

One opportunity can change a career.

Across selected SUM teacher-education cohorts, we aim to make at least one supported or substantially subsidised place available for someone whose financial circumstances might otherwise make participation impossible.

01

Supported place

Targeted across selected teacher-education cohorts as the initiative rolls out.

1 → MANY

A small act can keep moving outward.

TEACH IT FORWARD

One teacher. One class. Many ripples.

We are developing a voluntary pledge for SUM graduates to contribute one complimentary community class after graduation. The goal is simple: turn professional education into something that travels beyond the person who received it.

OUR 2027 COMMITMENTS

Specific enough to be accountable.

Core causes guiding our decisions

Annual

Public impact and transparency update

These are commitments and program targets — not claims of completed impact. As initiatives go live, this section will be updated with verified figures.

HOW WE GIVE

Not every contribution has to look like a donation.

Access

Selected spaces, scholarships and supported participation across SUM education.

Education

Instructor time, mentorship, learning resources and practical career guidance.

Funding

Financial support for carefully selected initiatives and organisations where appropriate.

Partnerships

Working with people and organisations that already understand the communities they serve.

TRANSPARENCY

Impact should be measured, not merely marketed.

We would rather publish a small number we can verify than a large claim we cannot. As SUM Impact develops, we intend to document what was contributed, where support went and what changed as a result.

WHAT WE'VE DONE

Evidence before storytelling.

Completed initiatives will appear here only when we have records, dates, participants or partner confirmation to support them.

WHAT WE'RE BUILDING

Ambition, clearly labelled.

Future programs such as SUM One Seat, Teach It Forward and annual impact reporting will remain identified as commitments until they are active.
